Documentary
Human First: The New Face of Homelessness is a feature-length documentary that transcends the stereotypical images of homelessness to reveal the truth and the travesty of its new face in today’s recovering economy: the unemployed professional, the middle-class family displaced by foreclosure, and the employed blue collar worker.
Through Ms. King’s insider’s view and the stories of other families, Human First dispels common misconceptions and exposes a deeper truth: people experiencing homelessness need the same human and civil rights protections afforded to them outside of the system.
With more than 6 million Americans across all economic classes at-risk of becoming homeless, a Bill of Rights for the Homeless will protect the humanity of all Americans and their right to return to self-sufficiency.
